The eleventh part of my SVT discography review!

Ranking system:

🍇 - 10.0 BNM one of their most iconic slays
🍉 - fantastic song that made me feel something
🍓 - eating, a few flaws that are either easy to overlook or a bit charming
🍊 - good background music but i wouldn't seek it out
🍌 - it does nothing for me but isn't outright offensive
🍐 - does nothing for me and is offensive
🍈 - so bad that it almost wraps back around to good just bc i was laffing so much

🍐 Happy ending Korean ver
second verse same as the first. Sounds like something a doggy dropped. Unpopular opinion maybe? I mean dk prechorus is lovely but that’s not enough of the song for me to like it…actually jeonghan sounds good too and seungkwan…but like um…the majority of this song is either embarrassing or like…HAPPY ENDING HAPPY ENDING (sung like a maniac laying down in the frothing river of slop) no shade like if you like this then that’s cool but it’s really not anything for me and that’s fine (gets doxxed and assassinated)

🍌 Let me hear you say
I mean its kinda just there. Jeonghan speaking English is always awesome lol. I kinda could do without…like…the whole “y/n saved me from myself…” vibe of this. It’s too mid for me to look past that lol. It’s not like it’s gonna kill me to listen to this but I’d rather listen to most other songs like im not gonna get the aux and be like aw yeah time to put on let me hear you say by seventeen

I mean you could’ve given them a weird song again but I understand this is kind of a concept album so they’re staying on theme. But then again HIT is on this album so you could’ve gotten a LITTLE weirder. Well everyone sounds- omg jun are you GOOD, buddy? He was in the booth dipping all the way into his mickey mouse bag! Why does dino sing so well lol it’s kinda funny that he randomly improved in that regard so dramatically…I guess I always liked his vocal color tho so I’m glad he’s taking the time to work on it cuz he’s pretty dam nice to listen to. Anyways this song is kinda boring

🍊 Snap Shoot
It’s kinda funny how the album evolves into this lol. Like…how did we end up at this without me noticing a severe tonal shift? It snuck up on me. Anyways this isn’t my type of song but I appreciate it for what it is. This is for BGM when they’re being adorable on stage and doing freestyle dances for people to film and post on twitter. I don’t think it’s for listening to on your own. Mingyu was lisping all over that beat. DK you should go on a picnic with me babe consider yourself invited. The bridge is kinda fun seungkwan was creaming all over that beat lol and good for him. He’s also invited.

So first of all I like how back it up fades into this. Second of all I feel like I’m on speed lol. If I was on the bus listening to this and looking out the window they’d be running alongside the bus super fast and jumping over the signs and shit in my imagination. I don’t know if I can say I LIKE this, like is a strong word. Like I kinda need them to slow down a bit but this is technically their cocaine album. I like vernon’s voice when he sings that little bit, that was kinda sexy. I feel weird saying that about Vernon. “Sometimes we need an Airbag” you can say that again, scoups. Thom yorke when he made ok computer probably.

🍓 Lie Again
Me about every slow heartbreaking svt song: Imagine if this was a booseok duet…LMFAOOO im right though this would eat if it had more dk and seungkwan HEART-WRENCHING VOCAL STYLINGS. I kinda like how upset hoshi sounds like im sorry I ghosted you babe lgdrjigdfuighj….I also kinda like the old-school 2007 type of drop they have in the chorus like okay onerepublic! I mean this is less exciting and interesting than hit so I’ll probably rank it lower but if I’m being real I’d be more likely to listen to this while on public transport.

Um…so…the foreigners made a sexting song I see…good for them lol…why does the prechorus sound like it was produced by $waggot lsngdroihgdjfh…the breakdown is kinda what you make my day wishes it was. Why did jun put his pussy into this lol he was like FINALLY! A SONG I CAN RELATE TO! Discord kitten anthem I don’t really know what you want me to say to this. It kinda bumps if I’m being real like towards the end I was in the groove but why was this made? Like I’m glad it exists but like…what was the conversation that was had to create this

Omg I got jumpscared by this so bad. Did Vernon produce this? Let me check. Okay he didn’t but I bet he was the one who wanted it to sound like this. He’s eating up every part he gets lol this was the year 1000 gecs dropped wasn’t it? Idk if it came out before this was made or not but if it did it would explain a lot lol…vern heard that and was like PLEASE LET ME TRYYYYYY TO MAKE MY OWN VERSIONNNN and I don’t think it was a success but it was certainly…something. Like, very interesting. I was engaged the whole time and that’s better than some of these songs.

I feel crazy listening to this when I’m sitting on my bed in my apartment. Pride of pride…good for you josh. The chanting will probably never get less funny to me but the breakdown might be even more funny…I keep thinking of the mv where they were like dancing on a bunch of coke like talk about accurate. Dino was SASSY in this…I mean I appreciate their um, confidence I guess. It’s kinda like be here now by oasis, like there was just so much cocaine involved in every part of the process that they ended up cranking every element of it up to eleven lmfao. It’s kinda awesome if I’m being real lmfao.

🍇 Second Life
The way this song is so good needs to be studied…like on one hand I shouldn’t be impressed by vocu doing sunflower post Malone swae lee. But on the other hand, it’s sunflower post Malone swae lee with BOOSEOK. VOCAL. STYLINGS. And the woozi magic touch of beautiful additional sounds. And heartbreaking lyrics probably some of my favorite lyrics on the album. Everyone sounds great here like woozi sounds like a fairy omg…josh second verse…jeonghan chorus…everyone brought their A game….but it all builds up to DK final chorus. Oh my fucking GOD dk final chorus…omg…literally top 5 moments in music like the hopelessness the resignation the misery beneath a smile I can’t STAND you anymore I need this song all over my body I wanna take it in pill form

🍇 Fear
Why is this kinda the best song ever…I mean like…the thanks -> home -> fear run of ‘for the fans’ songs is probably one of my fav things to come out of the whole genre. Aside from its deeper meaning within the context of svt and kpop in general, it just knocks. They make great use of everyone’s strengths here in a way I think very few of their tracks do. Like I did not know Joshua could eat down like that omg…and don’t talk to me about seungkwan. I like the self-loathing and I like the resignation and I like how it’s not afraid to talk about how both sides play a part in making the relationship as painful as it is. Inescapable cycle of parasocial codependency…woozi come here let a real one suck you for making something this good.
